HS & E

HS&E (HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT)

The health and well being of our people is paramount to us. This is reflected in the three core principles that drive our health and safety practices:

WE BELIEVE

Safety is important to us

 No business objective takes priority over the health and safety of our employees

 All injuries and incidents are preventable

 No task is so urgent or important that it cannot be done safely

 It is part of our culture

People are ultimately responsible for safety;

 In providing the training and resources they need to ensure a safe work place

 Consulting regularly with employees

 This is evident in our track record

In setting targets that ensure our employees are safe;

 Measuring our safety performance track record; and

Consulting regularly with employees reviewing our policies regularly

Environment

We believe sustainable practices are not only key to working with our community, they make good business sense. This is why we have implemented a range of strategies that minimise environmental impact and allow us to work in harmony with our local stakeholders.

Our work practices acknowledge the importance of:

Managing and minimising waste,

Preserving local cultural heritage, and

Minimising the impact on flora and fauna.

We are therefore committed to ensuring our environmental policies are understood by each and every employee as well as a contractor of NAG. To ensure sustainable practices are integrated into our corporate culture we have implemented:

Continuous monitoring of environmental risks;

Employee training programs;

Monitoring and maintaining a watching brief on legal developments; and

Regular assessment of our policies and practices to ensure we maintain best practise.
